Default Bose audio system - what was here or should be here?

New to me 996 Targa with the Bose factory upgrade. However under the bonnet I see a space and these connectors. Can anyone identify what was here or what I could replace or connect here please?

Thanks - Luke

That's where the CD changer was located. Apparently the PO removed it.

Thanks. I guess that means I can just pick one up on eBay- or better still - a USB/iPod dock.

If it were only that easy...you can pick up whatever you want...whether it works or not will be a different issue. If you find one, make sure it's from the same year as your car and the interface (MOST, if applicable) is compatible.

Those are analog inputs and the OP has a non-MOST system.

You need the CDC-3. And yes, that's one way people convert their CDR-220 system to accept a Bluetooth or iPhone signal.

I _have_ an AUX cable that works in lieu of the CD changer...it's a little old-school in that it's got the 30-pin iPod connector, but it also has a 1/8" stereo connector that will plug into anything (even an iPhone 7...with the adapter). I removed the factory head unit, so I don't need the cable any longer.

OP, it's yours if you want it. I'll dig it out and post a photo; if we determine it's what you need, it's all yours.

Thanks 5CHN3LL - appreciate the offer. I'm in the uk but will pay for the postage as I still have my 30 pin iPod so it sounds ideal. Cheers.

OK, Luke. I'll verify the stereo model I have and shoot you a photo. If you can, please PM me your email address (I don't remember if non-members can PM or not).
