Porsche script on 996 C4S reflector

If anyone has a spare / scratched / cracked reflector that could be experimented with, I think it would be worth trying to see if the reflector can be opened. As I mentioned previously, this could look really amazing if the decals were put on the inside of the reflector surface, so they can be seen through. My concern with decals on the outside is that they would probably peel off or get damaged easily since the lines need to be super thin for this to look good. Another way to do it would be to apply the decals, then top it with 3M film. That might look a bit lumpy though.
Regardless, getting the decals made should be easy enough. I don't see that as being the issue for this design to work.

I don't want to muck up the reflector on my C4S so I'd get a spare in order to experiment... but at $669 + shipping + brokerage fees + exchange rate + taxes/duties to Canada it ain't cheap!

On a related note, interesting short piece on the evolution of the 911's rear reflector:

IMO the 996 C4S reflector looks the best... but I'm obviously biased

This is an ancient thread but I'm hoping there's still some life. I'm thinking about debadging my C4S and I like the idea of "PORSCHE" lettering in or on the heckblende like on the 993. Anyone done this recently? Any sources/photos less than 5 years old?

Give me the dimensions and I could try making a sticker.
I have the Porsche font.

As 91One said many moons ago, anybody have a spare, broken, scratched up, no-longer-usable, one laying around, I'd love to get it to experiment with.
