Full Porsche X74 Suspension Installed Pics
Just got my car finally sitting the way it was designed. My car came with US M030, but I wanted it lower. I have a before pic. I wanted to stay all Porsche factory parts, so I opted for an X74 system that was designed as a set to work with the sway bars already on my car from the M030 setup. I also got the X74 engine skid plate. Finally, I installed H & R 15mm spacers front and rear with the stick 18" Sport Classic wheel setup with stock tire sizes. The tires are Michelin Pilot Super Sports for reference.
I am really happy with how the car sits and rides. The Porsche shop that set it all up for me compared the ride to a 996 GT3. It is firm, but still compliant. The car just feels, and looks, like it should have come this way from the factory.
Getting ready for the install. Complete with the factory 99 engine skid plate.
This is the before pic with the spacers installed, but the US M030 suspension.
Post X74 install in front of the shop.
The H & R Spacers along with the X74 give it the perfect stance in my opinion.
This morning at Cars & Coffee.

looks great !
but we need some better pictures. the black wheels and dark images because of the white car make it hard to see the gap and stance. some more better pics please so you can show off your good work !

How did I miss this X74 thread? Congrats. Love the white Aero too. A properly setup X74 996 is truly special - especially on high speed "commitment" turns. Nice work.

I am a client of Dougs and saw your car at the Brothers’ shop. I am in the local area. Would like to meet at some point to see and feel your setup
i am looking to do a similar setup on my 996 Anniversary.
what year is your car? I am searching for a first year 99 as the lightweight 996 with cable throttle gas pedal, and the high rev 3.4 with LSD.
Wish you well.

Awesome, looks great. I was looking at x74 a couple of years ago but couldn't source one. Also, how the heck do you keep your white 996 so clean? By back bumper has a fine layer of dirt or soot after even a 20 minute drive. Maybe it's the 200 cell cats.
