How much? I'll be interest in what your final ride height is and how stiff they are.

$1400 for the set, which I thought was acceptable for trying something new. I've followed Feal for several years with what they've done for the Impreza community and been very impressed with their offerings, especially at the price point. The 996 2wd is a new kit for them, it was added to their website only hours after I contacted them asking if they would be able to re-valve another coilover kit.

Spring rates are 7k/11k swift springs, and valving is intended for street use in the configuration I ordered. I don't plan on going significantly lower, as I want to stay within reasonable street alignment specs without having to upgrade control arms or anything in the rear. They do offer a road race version which is significantly stiffer, and they configure spring rates/valving based on:

• Tire size
• Estimated horsepower
• Tire UTQG rating
• Road Race, Autocross, or Street?
• Smooth or rough terrain?
• Effective aero used?

Rebuilds are relatively inexpensive and performed by Feal in the US, with the option to upgrade the 441's to the 442 or 443, which upgrades to 2 or 3 way adjustable damping.

I have to say that customer service has been outstanding. Emails have been replied to within minutes, and every phone conversation has been with someone both helpful and far more knowledgeable than myself!

Interesting. Always good to see more 996 support from vendors. I wonder if/when they'll do a C4 kit, the price is definitely good, especially considering it comes with top mounts.

Curious how this stacks up vs other systems, ksports are about the same price. Even buying bilstein replacement struts and h&r springs is 1300 bucks and even more work.

how streetable are those spring rates? I live around some bumpy roads the stock suspension is stiff enough for me i just want the front lower that wheel gap kills me

Default Max Travel

Their Max Travel kit looks like a great idea for my C4S. I have contacted them, but they don't know the "measurements" for a C4S, and I don't live anywhere near them.

Any idea what measurements they would need, and if there is a resource I could point them to? Would the measurements be the same for a 996TT and C4S?

Yes, 996 C4S and 996TT can use the same coilovers.

I've got a full set of brake rotors, pads, and hardware on the way from warehouse33 as we speak - hoping to find some time next week to get everything installed. I'm very excited for the upgrade!

I'll be sure to comment on how ride quality is when I get them installed. I felt the same way about price though - if I was going to go with new struts/springs/tophats it'd be more expensive than the 441s. I looked at the PSS10 as well, but they are twice the price, and seem to be a pain to have rebuilt.

Got all the brakes on, and the front coilovers. No problems with fitment, pretty straightforward install. I haven't done any adjustment on height yet - will see if my shop can align and corner balance once I get everything installed. If I can find a deep well 15mm socket sometime tomorrow, I should be able to knock out the rears tomorrow evening.

I love the green!

Not sure I'd worry too much about corner balance initially. Just make sure to get the height set even left to right and you should be fine. After you get used to them and and are sure that's the height you want, then you might look to CB if you are getting a lot of track time in.

FYI, here is the X74 spec. That's as low as you would want to go to keep good geometry.

Thanks for the info Slakker. I'm going to shoot for X74 specs. I'm wondering if new drop links are going to be needed - the rears seemed to have a lot of tension on them when attempting to get everything bolted back together.

Everything seems out to get me with this install so far, although fitment has not been an issue. I've been sick the last three days. The rear studs for the coilovers are threaded different than OEM. Home depot had exactly three packs of two flange nuts in stock, but someone apparently opened one of the packs and stole one of the nuts. And it seems I damaged the threads on one of the studs figuring this all out. Hopefully will have all this straightened out this week!
