Magnaflow 14158 cans +8lbs (). Car got declared too loud for the lap times I was running at Hallet. Was told I was required to run in the teens if it was going to be that loud. So it was easier to buy the cans off Amazon and have a local custom exhaust shop weld them on than it was to drop 5 seconds. Lol.

Car has a deeper growl and isn't nearly as obnoxiously loud now.

Frankenduct! One radiator duct was damaged from the tire wall and the other was demolished. eBay salvage yard didn't get the replacements to me as promised so piecing these back together the best I can.

CV joint boot blew out on rear axle. Luckily, the car randomly came with 2 spare rear axles so it wasn't a big deal.

That's a good point. They really should put a speed rating on duct tape.

All materials used were found in the Lowe's air handling section so I figured i was using the right stuff.

And as to an earlier comment, I can't say I miss the British Air look.

I'm fairly certain I messed the toe up when replacing the axle so here's my first attempt at "stringin it."

Slak: We used this and other types of duct tape on my sprint car to hold various non-essential things like sun shields and body parts to keep them from flapping in the wind. Highly under-rated product!

I won't ask what body parts.

Here's an 8 minute video clip from yesterday. Because of the ABS issue I was braking a little earlier and then using downshifts and turn in to try and scrub speed. I ended up off track 3 times yesterday but I learned alot from the experience.

Slak: After watching this video it appears that you were not the only one removing "excess" tire rubber coming out of that corner! Lots of unusual tire marks on the pavement.

Ya I noticed that too. There was a PCA club race there the two days before. I know a Boxster and 944 had a pretty ugly collision. Wouldn't surprise me if it was I that corner.

And in the "I must have lost my freakin mind" category, my FSI slot is going toward the track car. The current engine is crazy strong so they are going to check it out and then if there are no issues, put it into the C4 roller I bought. The roller engine will be used as the donor for the FSI build which Jake is changing since it will be a race instead of DE car.

I certainly didn't want to get any deeper into the track car, but it didn't make sense to put the FSI in my DD. With all of the track time I'm getting, I now drive like an old man on the street. Plus, it's going to be freakin awesome. Last two DE days this weekend then I'll deliver it to GA after Thanksgiving weekend.

A FSI 4.0 in you car is going to be like mine, pure magic! Make sure you get the ecu massaged as well.

That's awesome. I think I'm still scheduled for a 3.8 but I'll have to ask. What octane gas is yours set up for?
