- LWFW (don't tell Jake)
- Headlight Delete
- Grind and cut all extra metal and brackets
- Lexan quarters
- Cup Shifter Cables
- trunk latch pins
- top vent center radiator through bumper
- install brake pressure sensor
- integrate VBox video with AIM system or add an analog module to it to tap existing sensors for RPM, throttle and brake
- lower to 996 cup height
- add shims to LCAs to get to -4.5 camber in the front and -4.0 in the rear
- corner balance

Additional wish list items are:
- move front calipers to rear and install front BBK
- upgrade quiafe LSD to OS Giken
- go back to DMFW and put the FSI engine in this car instead of my daily

But right now I'm just enjoying the crud out of it as is. Back out to Hallet tomorrow thanks to Jason. The group is full but they have the track for 10 hours for 30 people and said I can jump in when people start dropping out. Gotta feed the need.

Just some food for thought, buy perhaps start looking into an electric steering pump? You might be at the point where you'll be getting more weight savings and performance for your dollar. Just a thought - love the progress so far!

Great point. I've researched it some but had forgotten about it. The piece of that equation I haven't solved yet is a serpentine belt for underdrive pulley, AC compressor delete, and power steering pump delete. I don't really like the idea of gutting the PS pump and leaving the shell for the belt.

That's incredible Slakker! By chance did you weigh your track car on the same scale before you started your Porsche on Jenney Craig?

Tire wall ripped up the bumper and damaged one of the headlights. The SMART Fast 50 did a good job of getting it back together on the backside and of repairing the broken tabs. I used their plastic repair on the front and then sanded it to get a smooth finish. It came with some really cool mixer nozzles but you have to have all of the surfaces ready to go. Especially with the Fast 50 which I ended up hand mixing most of the time in batches.

I used 3M Panel Bond Adhesive to install the headlight caps. I created a channel for it underneath using metal ducting tape. The panel bond is $55 a tube and takes 24 hours to set but it is some awesome stuff.

Next up is a corner balance tomorrow and getting the front bumper wrapped on Wed.

How much weight did you drop with the headlights and the trays?

I wouldn't run cup car height with stock c2 uprights.

He isn't trying to pass off his 911 as a GT2....GT2 is the class he's running in...

I did not think this was the case, just ironic. Que Alanis Morissette jokes.

Ya the GT2 confused me too the first time I saw a 996 cup with a GT2 sticker. I was shocked that they had totally stripped a "GT2" and turned it into a track car. Lol. Maybe I'll get a C2 badge for it.

Next track day is Monday at the Motorsports Ranch 3.1. It's a really fun track with lots of elevation change and forgiving runoffs.

Interesting point on the uprights. Cup car spec is 3.07" front and 3.93" rear. I'm currently at 5" front and 5.25" rear which is how the car came. I definitely think it needs more rake but I don't think dropping 2 more inches in the front will be practical. So I think the answer is somewhere in between. I'll ask Charlie his recommendation since he knows the setup on these cars as well as anyone.

I'm still getting a lot of outside wear on my tires at -3.7F/-3.0R camber I'll probably get more aggressive with it as well.
