Interior
I'm sure I'll get plenty of negative opinions on this but...
So my interior needs a refresh due to soft touch peeling and scratches.
My options:
CF parts although nice are stupid expensive.
body paint to match
And this:
Im keeping this car for the long haul so I'd like to go with either paint to match or the poly decals. The poly decal set seems to be quality, but I don't want to cheapen the look. I've seen a few videos and pics and they look pretty good. What do you all think. If it looks like shyte I can always use a local auto paint guy I know to paint the parts.

If you want to repaint with a similar soft-touch product, there's a spray paint Autozone sells as bumper coating - it's a dark grey/flat black color.
Using faux CF isn't a sin - it's a little played out, but it looks way better than chewed-up paintwork.
The body-color interior paint is hit-or-miss in my opinion - is your car blue or black? It never (again, IMO) looks as good as you think it will.
The DiNoc/vinyl stuff will be the most durable, and it's also the most reversable if you decide you hate it.
Please don't use stick-on wood. It didn't look good on 70's station wagons, and it still doesn't look good today.
Actually paying for REAL (OEM) carbon-fiber 996 interior parts is insane in my opinion - since they're just regular parts with CF/resin coats, you're paying a butt ton of money for CF parts that weigh MORE than the non-CF originals. In addition, the Porsche resin seems to age poorly on the carbon 996 interior parts I've seen - like the 996 stuff didn't include enough UV protectant.

My Jeep Cherokee came with that carbon cloth looking stuff on the trim pieces .
I don't know how it would look in a 996 but I will say that it's held up well. My Jeep sits outside and the stuff looks new even after 7 years.

I'm sure rmc and D(i)ck would love to give you some feedback in the TT forum
I've thought about wrapping the black bits of my 958, but I haven't found a color I like. Not a fan of the CF look (real or wrap) myself.
What about a nice black wrap to go with the body color?
