How to test spoiler on thebench?
Hello fellow 996ers
I recently bought a 996 that came with a GT3 type spoiler. I have purchased a used OEM engine lid to go back to the traditional look. Here are my questions:
1. Do you know any ways that I could test the spoiler (on the bench), before I install it on the car? The next question explains the “why”!
2. Could you tell me where the wiring harnesses that accept those on the spoiler come from within the engine bay (would sincerely appreciate a picture - PLEASE!). The OEM lid has two sets of wiring harness that should hook up to the corresponding harnesses, but, I could not find any loose wiring harness in the engine bay that might be used for the hook up. Currently, the fan is wired to the aerokit spoiler, but aside that, I cannot see any wiring harness.
Your input is gratefully appreciated in advance.
Cheers,
Zack

Maybe this RennTech forum thread will help you find a solution http://www.renntech.org/forums/topic...ght-always-on/
There is a lot of good information about the spoiler and wiring harness.
A reverse of what you are doing...but helpful information http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarti..._Rear_Wing.htm

Sorry for the delay in responding. I had given up getting any feedback, since no one responded for a long time.
