Default 996's versus the Great Apocalyptic Snow of 2016

Alright, you Northeasterners apparently have some snow headed your way. We know this in flyover land because 1) apparently it's a slow news day, and 2) anytime anything happens to that area, it's the lead story and sells better the more dire the predictions. Reportedly, it's so bad that Gonzo and Kalashnikov are stocking up on supplies.
Sooo, let's see some pics, especially of any soul brave enough to take the 996 out into the fray.

Reporting over an inch here in NC.. I drove the Honda Element (woo hoo!) to work today even though the aero kit would have probably held me to the road like glue . No traffic today, so nice!

Calling for anywhere between 6-10 in Northern NJ.
Pictures to follow.

And I'm taking the Land Rover today. People act like complete morons driving in snow in this state.

It even made the news over here .........

A huge blizzard bearing down on the US east coast is expected to dump near-record levels of snow on Washington and the Mid-Atlantic region.
More than 50 million people have been warned of a "potentially paralysing storm" late on Friday that will bring 24in (60cm) of snow within hours.
There are warnings the blizzard could cause power outages and will bring road and air travel to a halt.
A rush for supplies led to long queues and empty shelves at supermarkets.
The weather system has already proved to be deadly, with two drivers killed in North Carolina, one in Tennessee and a pedestrian dead in Maryland.

No snow yet up in CT. We're supposed to get off easy though. They're only talking about 6-12" by me starting late tonight -- but my baby's locked away in the garage until the weather warms up. Unfortunately, I don't have snow tires for it and having done the "summer tire in the snow" thing before, I can assure you I won't be looking for a reason to do it again.

You Americans get so easily scared by the media. Empty shelves!!! As if this is the end of the World......it's a fricken snow storm that'll pass in a day or so. All you need is beer to get through it. Up here, I can't wait to get more snow so the snowmobile trails can open for the season.

Hurdi's 996 has a history of misbehaving in the snow - I doubt he'll be driving around in the white stuff.

Single Malt Scotch my friend. No need to keep it cold in case you lose power, and will last a lot longer per sitting.
