Vertex in Miami rents the tools for $75 . I don,t know if you need to buy their bearing since it,s listed as a separate part

RMS = Rear Main Seal.

There have been several members here, including me, who have loaned the RMS tool to others. Make sure you reach out to members in your area.

Sorry my poor reading skills I have never used anything special to install a rear main seal You can usually find a plastic plumbing fitting at home depot the same diameter and use it to drive a seal without damage. I,ve been doing it that way or with something similar as a professional tech for more than 40 yrs with no returns that I can recall.

The M9xx engines aren't as easy as many others. One reason is that there is no lip to set the bearing against so it is very easy to get it cocked, drive it through into the crankcase and get it stuck in there on the crankshaft, etc...
