I'm one of the few who have liked and used my center cupholder. Recently though it suddenly refuses to latch closed, so now it is popped out about an inch or two.

Today I tried to take it out and see if I can either repair it or at least get it closed while I search for a replacement (and yes, I know how ridiculously overpriced they are).

I removed the horseshoe and top vent, but I cannot seem to get the cupholder out. I've searched here quite a bit, and while I see numerous references to the cupholder, so far nothing on how to remove it. Suggestions welcome!

Function-First

You have to take the radio, climate control unit. and surrounding bracket out. The cupholder will come out attached to the surrounding bracket, at which point you can release it from the bracket via 2 release levers.

Thanks! Of COURSE I have to take everything out of the center stack just to get the cupholder! Doh!
