Serial number

Serial number - Mine was in the IMS lawsuit range. Anything I can do?
I was just curious if my 996 was in the affected engines list from the class action.
I found the text of the settlement, and I couldn't find my serial range. The closest I got was the following:
"WP0CA29932S650004-WP0CA29952S655611"
My serial is WP0CA29992S655496
My engine serial is M96 / 036 622 5665 but they didn't list engine serials in the settlement.
None of the other serial ranges seemed remotely close to my number, so I didn't re-post them.
Seems like my car wouldn't not have been in the serial range of the settlement at all.
Did I interpret this correctly?
Please, don't post anything about whether or not the IMS has been replaced or not, I'm just trying to figure out if my car would have been in the settlement ranges.
Thanks!
Mark

Hmm. So that means my car WAS in the lawsuit. However, I just bought this car last Thursday and I'm the 4th owner. It's got 56K miles and it's been 13 years since it was new.
I did buy it from the same dealer group who originally sold the car in 2002.
What does this mean to me? I assume it means nothing to me except I 100% need to get the bearing replaced on my own dime sometime soon.

You have a single row, serviceable bearing.
There are many high mileage cars on this forum with original bearings.
Replace it if it is causing you stress.

Three Wheelin'
You have nothing under the lawsuit
As far as changing out the IMSB, well that depends on which koolaid you drink

The car is in showroom condition. I had Hennessey drain the oil and inspect for metal in the filter during the pre-purchase inspection. The oil was a beautiful honey color and we didn't see even a glitter flake in the oil. Oil pressure is a solid 5+ at startup, 3 at idle and 4 at freeway speed.
I put on the LN Engineering oil change kit with the magnets. In 3,500 miles (60K) I plan to change over to DT40 and do the 60K service (belt, plugs, filters) and pro-actively replace the water pump. I think the Tip is due a filter and oil at 60K as well, so I'll take care of that.
Then I think I'm just going to drive it and not worry about it. Maybe at the 90K service I'll replace the IMS. I'm not going to worry about it for now.
I also snagged a BendPak locally, so I'm good to go!
