Default Oil Filer Exam

Guys,
I have done a full oil change and filter swap, pretty easy to be honest, I have a couple of questions?

1. What's the best start up procedure post oil + filter change?
2. I examined my filer (tore out the outer paper) examined it.

What would normal particulates in the filter look like?

I found some 3 or 4 but they were vsmall less than 1mm - what's normal.

Sorry I am a new to Porsches having only just bought my '99 C4...

My plan is to pull the filter after i have done 100miles and see what I have. The motor was rebuilt in 2012 and I think this is the first filter change as it's only covered 4k miles...

Couple small particles are nothing to worry about.

This is something to worry about:

Well my filter was much cleaner than that, I had to pick through each fold to find anything!

Why I asked is that I have never had a car with a paper filter that's easy to examine, so I really have no idea what I would find in the filter, normal spin off type filters are hard to check so you never really know what's being deposited in them.

Normally I would expect zero deposits or very fine deposits similar to a silver "copper grease" on the magnetic sump plug; I fitted a magnetic plug too as part of the oil change.

I will wait and see...

You will be fine. seems if you found little particles then your filter is doing it's job. after-all that's what it is for.

You need to build a wall around that car. At your own expense.
