Rear Sumi's bald after only 11k
I knew I wasn't going to get a long life out of these but only 11k miles? My rear Sumitumo HTR ZIII are absolutely bald after only 11k miles. Only noticed they were that bad when I was checking tire pressures the other day and got on the ground and had a good look at them. At least they are cheap.

Should get a bit more out of them depending on how you drive. Did you have a four wheel alignment done? Usual wear ratio is 2 fronts/4 rears.

How is the wear pattern?
Middle wearing faster is normal for rear. If it is wearing on either shoulder, then you either have alignment, bushing or tire pressure issues
I typically get 15k mi on pzeros on rears and twice that on fronts

When I got my car I had new rears and alignment to factory spec done. After 10K the inside of both tires was at the wear indicator. IIRC my research said this is normal and due to factory alignment the insides wear first.

I got about 15k miles, 7 track days and about 25 autoxs from my last set of Dunlop Direzza ZI Star Specs. I think it had a lot to do with the alignment. Even though I had nearly -2 degs of rear camber the tow was near zero. Usually the tow wears tires worse than camber.

My camber was maxed for the track but I'm not tracking now so wearing bad from the insides. Agree on checking alignment. I'm having mine done for $200 at 8am in the morning because I just put on new SIII's.
Echoing comments above on alignment and I endorse the SIII's.

Normal - 10k rear, 20k front is what I get. But there 10k of grins every time I drive :-)
