Default Connection between safety switch on clutch pedal and cruise control?

I noticed the other day that my "cruise control" green light (it's a pictogram of a speedometer) on the dash was on. When I attempted to cancel it - (you pull forward on the multi-function display), the light would shut off for a half second then come back on.

The cruise control does function correctly - that is when you push forward on the multi-function display the cruise works and it shuts off when you pull it towards yourself. But the light stays on.

It doesn't bother me.

Any idea of why the light stays on?

Thanks

There's a push button at the end of the stalk. Try toggle that.

Yup. The button at the tip of the stalk toggles the system on/off. Moving the stalk allows you to set/coast/accelerate.
