GT3 Shocks and Springs on 996
When I bought my car 7 years ago, the PO mentioned that my car had GT3 shocks and springs. It wasn't really a big selling point for me, so I just took his word for it. Now, I am considering selling the car and want to mention that in my ad, but how do I know for sure that I have those components? What do I look for? The car is lowered and is definitely a stiffer ride than a standard 911.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Black springs, I believe. Don't know the part numbers. But I will be taking the wheels off to do the brakes soon, so I can look them up. Are the numbers easy to spot?

Red. Hmmm. Doesn't sound good. I guess I'll have to get those wheels off and look around more. Unfortunately we are expecting 1-3 inches of snow tonight! We had been thawed out for a few weeks now. Wisconsin weather...
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

I have GT3 suspension on mine.
The shock body should be silver and threaded with black collars on it with red H&R springs like below:
If the PO half-arsed it, it may or may not have the OEM GT3 top strut mounts.

Yeah, sounds like you're right. Although, to be fair, I don't think he was the one to do the mods. I think his PO told him the same thing. My PO didn't have it long. I'm going to get the rims off this weekend and post some pics.
