Default 2001 996 Drop link torque specs

Installing new drop links this weekend. How much do I tighten the nuts on the new drop links?

According to my Bentley manual, sway bar link (drop link) to sway bar tightening torque = 50Nm.

I could not find any value for the upper bolt torque value, but it wouldn't be much different - I think I used slightly less when I replaced my drop links. I also used Loctite on the threads which Bentley didn't mention, so it may have been overkill....

That would be about 37 FT/LB for us in the US.

Not knowing the spec, I realize I probably cranked mine to about 50 FT/LB when I did mine.

How do the rear ones come out? Do you have to remove the rear shock to get it out, or can you get at the nuts without removal of anything else? Thanks.

If its anything like my Boxster S drop links (which I think it is), its very simple - no shock removal required. The drop links are mounted between the shock body and the (anti)sway bar end.
