Default Red tinted my Amber taillights MK1

I do this with almost every car I own... After looking at all the taillight options out there i decided to just modify my own ones and put that money to more useful things... I will mount them shortly and put up some shots..

Thanks! I'm pretty happy, looks newer yet still age appropriate.

A touch of nightshade wouldn't look bad on your car, with all the other black - but either way, they came out nice.

Don't you lose reverse lights when you do to this? Your white reverse light will now also be red...

When I have done this in the past the light is usually super lighter/white through the tint. Even the turn signals still look Amber when activated. I also do it slightly thinner over the reverse lense

I decided to strip the red off the reverse lights, my wife thought they looked too pink. Lights still look good imho

what type of tint did you use? any special prep work? the amber tail lights are the only thing that bug me about my 996.

i used testors red tail light paint. It will wear off if you don't clear coat it. But it does a great job and isn't permanent if you don't want it to be..
