Default Keyless Entry/Remote Failing

Odd problem here. The battery died on the key to my 2004 996 Cab. I replaced it, and everything functioned as exepected - for about 4 days. Then the key went dead again.

I replaced it, figuring it was a bad battery - nope - it's more than just the battery. A new battery seems to last about 4 days or less - then the key is dead again.

Anyone had a similar experience? if so - any solution?

Thanks in Advance -

Rob

If it is not the battery then it has to be the actual key itself that is acting up. Something in the key holder is shorting or partly burnt out and flattening the battery. No other explanation.
