listing ends in 7 hours, and it's only at $12,700.

From my shopping last year for an MKII cab tip, I would guess the market value of this would be somehwere around the $25-$28k range.

Theres another almost identical one on with a $16000 BIN price, $14500 reserve (also 2002, C4, Tip, Lapis).



That one has 112,000 miles, so might be bringing price down of the previous car i mentioned

From my observations over last few years, the tip/cab combo seems to be going for the cheapest than other combos. I've seen a lot of mk2 in that combo/miles go for upper teens/lower 20's all day long.

Wow that's sad...

My car essentially looks the same but is a C2 with six-speed and fewer options. Plus mine has a lot more miles on it. I guess if I tried to E-Bay it I might get $10k if I'm lucky!

I don't think you're selling so no need to worry. Generally the manuals sell $2-3k more based on my observation. Plus this car is sold closer to winter where there is less buyer demand which always sells for less this time of the year.

No reserve bidding + late fall = not too great selling strategy for seller.

my observation on cabs was that the autos and manuals tend to be the same price, and maybe even a small premium for the tips (kbb values the tips higher - not that kbb is the best source for this info). I'm assuming because enthusiasts are more likely to be driving a coupe, but if you get a cab, it's more for fun in the sun type driving.

I checked KBB on this car and got some funny stats -

KBB dealer purchase (good condition) = $20,402 - $23,313 average = $21,858
KBB Private Party (good condition) = $21,986

In other words, you should be paying a premium to buy from an individual! Either way, buyer got an incredible deal here.

The next 6 or 7 weeks are the best time to buy a non-AWD vehicle of any make/model (new model year models are out and lots of people trading in, plus some states require dealers to pay tax on inventory so the dealers are trying to get their inventories down for January 1st). Convertibles are especially tough to sell right now (for obvious reasons). If you are a buyer, November is a great time for you. If you are a seller, try to hang on until March (tax refund time and the winter weather breaks).
