Default 2003 996 C2

New to this forum and soon-to-be new to Porsche...I am on the hunt for a 996. I am seriously considering this car:

https://washingtondc.craigslist.org/...272704004.html

2 owner car, clean CarFax, 82K miles, current owner put 50K on the car and has extensive records, car had IMS/RMS/clutch done in the past 6 months. Would greatly appreciate your insights and advice. Thanks in advance.

^ Concur with Jester. Looks like a nice, clean car with a nice double DIN stereo upgrade, PSE, heated seats. People who actually want to sell their cars will price them like this - they want to get the sale done and over with. The problem with this as a buyer is that nice cars priced well won't last very long on the market.

That's not too far from me. Happy to go with you to look at it and plug up the Durametric if you'd like. Also would recommend talking to Ivan @ IMA in Chantilly if you want to do a PPI.

Thanks so much for the offer Gnat, but I just worked out a deal with the seller and have purchased the car. I did a week's worth of due diligence and then pulled the trigger, did not want it to slip away. I'm very excited to be checking this item off my bucket list, and can't wait to start driving this fantastic car!

Congrats and welcome to the mad house. I suggest for the warmest welcome you start a thread about new ideas you have on the IMSB problem.

Holy crap. You mean you are the rare and elusive n00b that actually reads and understands things first?

You wouldn't be hiding a stock pile of Unicorn Semen somewhere too would you?

Finally someone who dispenses with the hemming, hawing, and asking for pages and pages of advice and just dives right in. Congrats on the car, I'm very jealous of that color combo. Looking forward to a formal intro and more pictures.

He'll still start a "My thoughts on the IMSB situation" thread. It's inevitable. New owners can't help it.
