Anyone care to give some thoughts on this listing? I'm shopping for a 996, but still in research mode. I love the updated wheels on this, and being a 4S makes is a decent deal @67K miles I would think?

I believe this is a good deal if PPI checks out. The 997 turbo wheels look good on there.

I just purchased and began modding my 996 with aero kit package...
And usually make it a rule not to continue my search after a purchase for fear of finding what would of been a better buy.
And this is why...

Anyone else notice this 997 over in the Marketplace section?

Not sure what the real value of the car is and obviously some due diligence would be key (ie: asking Jake about it), but more interesting interesting than many 997's you see for sale.

7,000 miles on the freshly rebuilt motor done by Flat 6 Innovations (Jake Raby), cylinders bored out from 3.6L to 3.8L, and billet connecting rods were used. Total of $20,000 invested in the motor rebuilt. Provides more HP than the factory S model. New Bilstein shocks (adjustable) and stuts, heavy-duty swag bars, tuned for the track. Have yet to take it on the track though. Front rotors are drilled and slotted, rears are drilled. The car is in mint condition, paint is perfect, new tires, interior is clean as can be. Drives like none other, well-balance.

Default selling the drama

clever marketing

http://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/cto/4867105772.html

Are you divorced? Would you like to be divorced? Single or have an understanding partner? Well this is the car for you. This is a 1999 Porsche 911 with full time rear wheel drive and driver controlled gearbox.

It has 76,000 miles and has been well taken care of. The car has never been in an accident because natural causes killed the first owner and the second owner was able to react in time to everything... because it's a sports car. The body is in great shape and is perfectly curved to get physical with a partner. The only issue is a curb rash on one wheel from a run in with the Teleban. The interior is in perfect shape, everything is clean and pure. Radio works fine especially if you decide to listen to a song that was composed on a MacBook Pro.

Is it fast? Faster than a resident of Grand Rapids, MI can file a complaint. It feels like a go kart and making turns at 80mph seems easier than doing it at 40 mph. I wish this was my car so I could name it "Little Bastard" like James Dean. No check engine light is on and the exhaust sounds as good as a Phil Spector recording. Tires are in great shape. This car is MINT! Not as in RoadKill Mint, this is mint like a Peppermint Patty.

You can tell your friends it's a new car because 911s all look the same. If anyone questions you, ask them where their 911 is and why weren't they at the Porsche brunch at the Auto Cross. Why should you buy this car? Because it's good to go now! If you have the need for speed and don't feel like buying a supercharger from someone who will send you a 20 piece kit in 23 different boxes or care to go fishing for used Mustang parts... this bypasses all of the reasons to go to CVS to relieve your headache.

$21,000 and owner already bought a Tesla to save the wales so we can all eat more tuna. Car is rust free and was always garage kept.

Email me for the vin or to set up a test drive.

Car is in Chicago, IL and is ready to go anywhere. I can help with transport if you are a reasonable distance away.

Why am I selling it? Because I sold my soul for rock n' roll and now I need to buy it back, but I am keeping the rock n' roll.

I agree on the wheels. But thats an easy fix if the price is right, i bet those wheels will look bitchin in bronze. That would be interesting to see.

I dig the white wheels. That turbo is perfect. Best color combo is white on dark blue.
