Default Wheel blemish repair.

So I decided against refinishing all 4 of my wheels. Only one needs to be redone completely and I found a good shop that will do it for $129. However, I have another wheel that has a blemish. Looks like baked on brake dust, but I won't wash off with cleaning or clay bar. Any suggestions?

Try some scratch-X on it.

I like p21s paintwork cleaner. Follow it up with a bit of wax.

Adcampo I'm glad I saw your thread. I too have some small paint issues that do not warrant a respray but could probably be done at home with some touch up paint. Do you know the paint code for the silver OEM wheel?

I read that BMW Titan Silver is a match for our rim color. Since my BMW IS Titan Silver, I have the touch up paint, and plan on filling in some curb scrapes on my twists soon - I'll report back!

Try the finest steel wool and lightly rub the spot.

or try this out...perfect match. ive used this wheel paint on my 02 and ive used some crap wheel paint from the automotive store on my mdx. huge difference in paint quality.
youd need the paint and the laquer.

00 steel wool worked, but did leave light scratches. Not surprising.

My guess is that the scratches are less noticeable than the brake dust patch. Hope a good wax will remove the small scratches.

Something like Quixx or other quality polishing compound should be able to fix it. You don't want to keep topping it with wax which is really a band aid.
