Default Speed Yellow and Gold Wheels? Yup, I did it.

So, thanks to a local rennlister (Kirkwoodloyal) who had some gorgeous gold Volk TE37's for sale, I've now got them on the car. I must admit, I was a little leery to put gold wheels on my speed yellow. But I'm actually really liking it. Looks fantastic when it is dusk out. What do you think? I'm still toying with the idea of going silver with them instead, but I figured I'd leave them like this for a while and see how I like it. It's definitely different. Love these wheels!

I'll agree - different and nice - cool concept.
Just hold back from taking the gold bling too far... next thing you'll end up with are Mr.T chains hanging from the mirror!

Not bad at all! Pretty sure you won't be seeing a bunch of others like yours and that's a big positive in my book!! Congrats!

I like the wheel design, and love the speed yellow, but to me the colors clash when put together.

Very surprising.....I don't hate it :-) The wheel design has a lot to do with the appeal of the overall look.
SY wheels would be too much!

Looks cool ... it's different ... maybe try Plasti dip in a matching color for the mirrors and see if that can tie it all together

Looks good to me. Only negative - no center caps. It's a pet peeve with me - can't stand alloys without center caps installed. Ruins the wheel.

I like gold and yellow together. You just need to lower the car a bit now.

I like it, it's different and its a risk but to me pays off. This is what will set you from all the rest of the speed yellow 996. My only complaint is your stance. Get that thing lowered ASAP, looks like your car is flooding like Michael Jackson only without the white socks

Thanks for all of the comments everyone. I'm thinking SY wheels would be a little too much for me.

As for the stance, it is actually lowered! I'm on H and R's. I think it may be the lighting so you really can't see where the tires are relative to the fenders. I'd love to go a little lower with some coilovers eventually, but for now, springs will do for me.

I'm not really sure about center caps. My Porsche caps just look weird being that they are silver, and from pics I've seen, it looks like most Volks just had a blank cap. Not sure what to put on there yet. Ideas?
