Default Engine oil ZDDP - mobil1 table

I stumbled upon this mobil1 table
Very interesting how it shows zinc level for the different product lines
Where mobil1 racing contains twice S much zinc

5W-50 looks to be a good product if Mob 1 is your brand. 0-50 racing might be hard on catalytic converters at 1850 ppm zinc and 1750 phosphorus.

Cool read, thanks. I did read the 0-50 is not recommended for street engines.

Their 0W50 also has a 750 mile life. Not exactly ideal for a daily driver.

Are you kidding? For some of our favorite posters, that's 3x the normal oil change interval :-)

catalytic converter in our cars have all crapped out by now, at least if you do some mild tracking. hopefully the high cell cats will survive the mobil racing lube

I have to ask how you figure that as I’ve tracked a 996 with almost 170k with stock cats and have heavily tracked and raced numerous BMWs, sometimes up to 200k and above on factory cats. I’ve also had cats fail far earlier, but I don’t think aggressive driving necessarily reduces the life of cats.
