Price Check
I am looking at a '99 C2 6 speed with factory aerokit that is the "perfect" 996 for me in terms of color, options (sport seats, color matched belts), current mods (full fabspeed) and under 17K miles, well maintained etc.
I'm budgeting ~3000 for PPI, IMS/RMS, and other misc things I might have done during the IMS retrofit, and trying to figure out what is a fair price for a low mileage well-maintained but 14 year old 996. I don't want to give too much info because I don't want anyone else to buy this car!
Any thoughts/input on a price range would be greatly appreciated.
Hoping to button up the deal in the next week or two!
thanks!

$25K is a solid price - if the car's very well sorted and documented. I can envision anything between $20 and $25k...
Billy, don't you have another forum to go troll in?

He's looking for $33K? That's not realistic AT ALL. I purchased my '99 from a dealership, two years ago, for $30K, which was a little high. For reference, my '99 C4 came with full Aero, full suspension, Tubi-style exhaust, an amazing tire/wheel setup, 100% clean history/carfax. This guy had better be offering an amazing setup for $33k.

I paid right around 19k for my '99 C2 in Dec 2011. Granted it had more miles (58k) and not as many options but even so, his asking price seem very high. I have since spent another 4.5k on the IMSB, RMS, clutch, tires and front brakes.

I agree and no more than $25k unless you are planning to marry this particular car and nothing else on the market matches it. Kindly remind the seller that there are 540+ 996 models out there for sale in inventory currently and see if he's interested in working up a deal and moving on with his life now or wait 10+ years to find a buyer willing to pay his price when the cycle restarts and Porsche makes a fried egg version again.
