I saw the guy ads on craigslist recently but he is not well known on the forum or from the local track rats
seems to be a new guy.

I'm in Miami never heard of them.
Saving few hundred on an IMS and having job botched may cost you and engine down the road.
I cannot stress enough this is S. Florida we are talking about so proceed with extreme caution.

Maybe what he's trying to explain ( or esplain) is..
In the Miami and/or Broward county areas there are MANY fly-by-night businesses. One day here, next day gone.
If it's not a far drive for you, go to the shop, ask a few questions, get a feel for how the business is being run and the personnel, prior 996 work, customers, references, etc...before you commit.

Everyone says they are an expert at everything yet the reality of their work is usually indicative that they are nothing more than wanna be hacks.

I heard about these guys through word of mouth and decided to try them out since they are very close to where I live. They gave me a great deal on getting my timing belt, water pump and seals replaced on my 944.

Spoke to the owner and he told me that they started out as a full machine shop rebuilding engines for other shops. They just recently hired a master mechanic from Germany and decided to specialize in Porsches. The guy does great work. If you are looking for a place that does great work at a great price, then this is the shop for you. If you are looking for the special amenities, decorum and *** kissing of the collection, then you should look elsewhere.

Like someone else mentioned, go check out the shop for yourself.
