You should be fine, I don't think Porsche changed to waterborne paint until later years.

Which oil is best?

Also, I'm not sure if he's sick or still alive even, but KrazyK hasn't replaced a perfectly functioning part this week...WTF is going on here!?!

Is this a trick question?

Isn't it the one with the biggest "tires"? Or is it the one that has the perfect OEM spec'd "tires"?

My car will occasionally do that, but not all the time. I don't think it is something to worry about

LOL, actually I have been busy. Rebuilt both front axles and replaced all 4 boots, replaced left side skirt/rocker cover, and replaced failing oil pressure sensor.

Speaking of Porsche paint, I must admit I have never seen so many older cars with such nice factory paint. It seems to hold up really well.

And heeee's back! All is right with the world again. I'm going out on a limb here, but I'm assuming you were able to accomplish all of that while still keeping to less than 10 miles driven this week?

First I'm a bit surprised you didn't get "new" axles. Did you at least Armor All the boots before you installed them?

Still quite nice but I'd have to disagree that it's the "nicest rear end". YMMV

In other news, drove the crap out of the 996 this past week, including some light rain. Put it away in the garage unwashed... :-)

But did order my next mod... Bought LostSouth's 997 SSK console!

500 miles on 996 last weekend. Got 300 on it so far this weekend, may get close to 700 since it is a 3 day weekend for me. Haven't washing it in a month. She makes for a perfect bug zapper. My hood and front bumper are covered in multiple layers of bugs.
