Default Pretty sure i need a new headlight switch

Two days ago dashboard lights stopped working. Wiggle the headlight switch and they work. Pull the fog lights on then the dashboard lights go out. Wiggle doesn't help. Push fog lights off flashlights come on.
Has to be switch but being in Japan it's a money and time gamble to trail and error a fix.
Anybody have the same symptoms? And fix?

Yep, had the same thing a few years ago, easy replacement of the switch. Just follow the online directions, and it's easy, just remember to locate the screw hidden in the recess of the pull out section.

I had the same symptoms last spring and the headlight switch was the problem.

Sounds like the switch to me. My dash lights and rear license plate light were out.
I just changed mine. Easy job to do, and the part is cheap. Took me about 30 minutes, but I was going slow to make sure i didn't scratch anything.

Thanks everyone. Time to place an order. Luckily I'll be in Las Vegas for business while the part gets delivered to japan so no headaches with the police if I was to get caught with no lights somewhere on the car.

Looked online and the cost landed in Japan is the same as the dealer price.
~$170 for the switch and $50 to install while I wait with a coffee and eye candy.
Starting to think I'm not being gouged on prices from Porsche Japan.

Over here Porsche would charge you $50 to put their coffee cup down. Then $175 for a Mechanic to sit in your car. You are lucky living in Japan.
