Bought my first 996 c2 cab at the age of 25 as birthday gift from me to me then my current 03 c2 coupe right before I turned 30 as an early gift. Wife had found the car and wanted to buy it for my birthday but I couldn't wait another month so I jumped on it. Ill be 32 in april.

I purchased my first P-car on my birthday six or seven years ago - and traded that car ('03 986) in on my 996. It's the gift that keeps on giving. I just ticked over to 43...

If the poll had a few more decades at the older end I would feel younger now.
My first Porsche at 55. I'm not too old to firewall the throttle. I am old enough to appreciate suspension on my daily commute.

I purchased my first Porsche in 1973 at age 27 a new 914 2.0. The following year, I traded it in for a 1974 911S. Since that time I've had another 914, a 1982 928 and a 1991 928 S4. I bought my current 996 in 2009 at the tender age of 63

Bought at 40, (42 now) should have come around sooner, but was not the right time and no $$ then. My 8 year old has already offerred my $5k for my 99 Cab when he turns 16. Wonder if in 8 years that will be the going rate anyway?

Bought my first porsche when I was 21. A 944 Turbo and quickly learned that just bcuz you can afford to buy it doesn't mean you can afford to maintain it. After running it into the ground, I sold it to my bro who spent $$ to bring it back up to mint. I vowed not to get a sweet car until I can afford to maintain it as well. I bought my 996 turbo 2 years ago at 36 and it has been heaven ever since. I am looking at a 07gt3 but the wifey says we need a bigger house. I am hoping to go shopping again in about 3 years or so.

I think the best time to have one if money allows is before you have kids when you're in your 20's or 30's. After that it can get a bit harder with more responsibilities and when practicality gets in the way.
I'm very blessed to be one of the fortunate ones like others on here.
