Default clunk/thump/harumph during shifting

Just drove the car about 10 miles and during a brisk acceleration experienced a disturbing clunk or thump as I upshifted. It literally felt like something was moving behind me as if the engine wasn't secured if that makes sense. Check engine light did not come on, oil pressure was fine and temps were fine.

I just had 60k service done and everything was fine except for an ignition coil which was replaced. Would they have unbolted something that should have been rebolted during the 60k?

Thoughts? Did a few searches and found everything from clutch issues to transmission and engine mounts as possible culprits.

Compare how low your exhaust tips hang to another car with known good mounts. Or post a pic of the rear of the car here and let's have a look.

In the light of day I am less sure about the motor mounts. Thoughts appreciated.

They look about right. But it's not hard to pull one.

Dude, I think someone may be playing a practical joke on you and Just tied a trash can to your rear bumper.
Sorry, couldn't resist (everybody else was thinking it, I was just the first to say it)

They may have lowered the engine a bit to replace the ignition coil. By doing that they loosened or removed your mounts. Your exhaust tips don't look that low (Although this doesn't mean your mounts are fine) I'd reccomend making sure that your motor mounts are tightened back up to spec. Maybe they forgot to fully tighten a bolt, and you just hear a slightly loose motor mount. There are 2 bolts on top, one big bolt on bottom of each mount. Easy to check, don't require lifting of the car even...

I think I am going to go ahead and replace the motor mounts; I've done some searches and see people like WEVO and RSS semi solid mounts. Any other options I should be considering?

Stick with stick mounts. Stiffer mounts or solid mounts can actually retard your timing by tripping the knock sensor.
