Default Rear quarter window regulator part #

Hello all, I have a 99 cab and it appears that the rear quarter window regulator is bad. I was wondering if anyone knew the part number for the left side unit. My understanding is that the motor and regulator are sold as one unit. Any one know if that’s true or is it possible to get just the regulator?
I greatly appreciate it.

Thanks so much rss53 for the part #. I have been trying to look up information on how to replace this. Are you planning on replacing it your self? There doesn’t seem to be any information out there.
Thanks again.

This is not a DIY, but is a diagram of the rear window on a Cab from the PET. Maybe this will help. Good luck!

Hi Tim, Thank you for the picture, it helps a great deal. I’m starting to see why there is no information for replacing this, DIY. Once I took the interior panel off I was surprised by how cramped it was because of the frame for the convertible top and actuator for operating it. Will look at it closer and then will decide what to do.
Thanks again.

Default unhappy about this rear window...

I have the same problem. Why is not a DIY project? I have never tried but am not happy about the potential expense I just incurred...

Also - where can I find this part at a reasonable price? Mine is a 2001 cabriolet and the rear passenger window is the one that is not operating.

thanks

Yeah, mine is acting up, I have to close it twice to get the window to close completely. 500 bucks s ridiculous.

This very well could be a DYI job. Just to clarify my statement, the original poster was asking for some DIY instructions. I could not find any DIY instructions, but I supplied him with the diagram from the pet. When I said it (my diagram) wasn't a DIY, I meant I didn't have any DIY instructions.

thanks for the clarification. A couple of questions:
1- where can I find this part at a reasonable proce - I saw one site where it was over $900!!! for the window lift - or whatever it is called - in the rear it is not a regulator.

2 - Does anyone know how to remove the rear side panel to just get a look at what is going on in there?

thanks

I guess maybe that is one reason why a coupe could be better - convertibles have some potential expensive repairs. The other may be that the coupes cost less to purchase.

It's actually not that hard to do, if you know how to do it.
The Porsche manual contains errors and is not very detailed.
I just pulled mine out ...

Part is over $500 and that was in '07, might be worth trying to fix.
