Just wrap it and post some pics. You can always tear it off if you hate it.

Usually you get about 50% saying they love it and about 50% saying they don't love it. The don't loves usually add "do what you think looks good because it's your car." In this thread maybe 5% say it looks good and pretty much everybody else says either it looks bad or/and do what you want. It's not nearly as clear cut as most of these stylistic type threads in my opinion. This is overwhelming against it. Having said that, it may turn out to look awesome to some of us naysayers... but I doubt it.

I'm not sure what your motivation is, other than aesthetic? If Porsche intended for your car to have a purple, orange, green, magenta, carbon fiber, or matte black hood, it would have one.

You would have an easier time selling a matte black roof versus a matte black hood.

These car wraps are a trend and will not be around for much longer.

Just my humble opinion.

Sounds like someone should set up a poll about wraps. ! The fact is that not everyone will like the same thing, that's just what makes life interesting. At the end of the day, when you park it in the drive at the end of the day, we all probably just sit and stare at our p-cars a little longer than we should, and admire the machine we are lucky to have. If you can add to that experience by personalizing it with a wrap, I say do it.

I vote no don't do it, but what the H$%L do I know. I like simple classic lines and looks. Too many add-ons and flair and it takes away from the look and style of the car. IMHO!

I vote no too - my stereo guy does wraps and tried to talk me into CF hood wrap- showed me his Challenger with the hood done - I thought it looked cheap on a dodge...

That said - its your ride do what you like

I currently have a CF sunroof on my car and I now have a white painted FRP hood on it's way to me so I will probably do a CF wrap on the FRP hood to match the sunroof rather than a mismatched silver. I think a gloss finish might look better than matt based on some photoshopping I did to my car.
