Default Switch for trunk light?

The light in the trunk in my car hasn't worked since I got it - decided to change the bulb today. Pulled it out and the light wasn't connected to the wiring. Hooked it up and the light came right on. Got to wondering why it wasnt hooked up and thought I out to check the switch just in case the PO had disconnected it for running down the battery or something.

Can't find the switch that would turn it off when the trunk lid is closed. Any help on where it is located?

Thanks!

Ted

You must have one of the magic bulbs. Each time I open my fridge the light is on also.

The light turns itself off after a delay of a few seconds.

I put a video camera in the trunk to determine that it actually turns off.

Lock the latch with your finger. There is a microswitch in the latch. Same as the engine cover, red arrow in the pic. The frunk has more covers so it is harder to see. Don't forget to open it again before you try to close the frunk.

If you leave the trunk open that light WILL go out, but it takes an hour!

That the light eventually went out wasn't much of a surprise as the wild party the trunk monkeys started after he closed the lid!!
