Default Kelly Moss Motorsports

So I picked my car up yesterday and am happy with how everything went. The service manager was the person who worked on my car and I feel good about that. He kept the parts for me to take home and said the IMS wasnt in bad shape. Everything that was done was a new LN IMS, RMS, Clutch, Air Oil seperator, and install of Detent, and an oil change of course. Grand total was $2525.

Took some more photos,

Mine is behind me in all these shots. I'll ask if they can put it in the rack for a picture though

99 with 95k miles. Its in amazing shape. I'll let folks know the condition of the bearing. It wasnt leaking or anything, I just sold a 914 and figured I'd get it out of the way and not worry about it.

I've asked them to keep the old IMS for me to check out. Its got some oil leaking from the spark plug tubes I think, other than that its been great. Drove it from southern Arkansas to Madison Wi after a long delayed plane ride. I originally planned on driving it year round but I'm still not sure. May end up getting a beater pickup instead of snow tires and wheels. Tempting both ways

I'm pretty sure that Ferrari 458 Challenge car is Scott Tucker's.

I have a buddy who does fly-in crew work on Kelly Moss's GT3 IMSA Challenge team, says their outfit is top notch. He currently runs one of the Walton's, forgot which one, in IMSA Cup.

I've worked with Kelly Moss before for a UW project, it seems like a great shop. BTW the old Flying Lizard is legitimately the loudest car I have ever heard. Also, the Challenger in the background was having a V10 Viper motor installed.

Do you mind if I ask how much? I haven't had any major service on mine yet, but I figure it will soon be time for a clutch & IMS bearing.

I do need a respray of my front bumper (& rear deck rub marks from hard top) and thought of taking it there for an estimate - problem is I don't live in Madison anymore. Completely off topic, but is about $1000 seem like a good price to paint a front bumper and rear deck? That's what a dealer quoted me.

Seems like a decent price for the paint.

Those flying Lizard cars are so cool.

For all that they are doing to my car, I've been quoted $2450, but they also have a 10% off promotion, I'll let you know what it ends up being when I pick it up. Hopefully tomorrow, I hate walking into my garage and not seeing it

It has forced me to get out my 912 though, and thats a blast too!

Skota, I take my 03 996 there as well. I will be over there tomorrow to have my lifters replaced. Good to see more Madison folks here on Rennlist.
