Default heated seat not working......

I have a 2002 C4S. Driver side heated seat is not working. When I press the button, red light comes on for a half second and then goes off.

Could there be a loose connection under the seat? My 6yr old daughter usually sits behind me, maybe her feet kicked a connection under the seat?

any thoughts or ideas on how to fix this?

thank you,

Glenn

I'd check the connection under your seat or it could be the switch. Don't have heated seats in my Porsche, wish I did today with the wind chill temp. at 7 degrees though. GL

Mine had the same problem when I bought it. Broken Element as Zookie described (according to dealer). Not worth repairing since car sees mostly track...

I just repaired my seatback element; one lead burned up and just required resoldering. Took about 30 min once I figured out how to remove the seatback cushion.

Replace and repair is actually what it was called in the 70's.
The mechanic replaces parts and repairs the car. Maybe R&R means Ream and Rip.
