Did the MKII come with a factory option of side skirts only?

For instance, I've seen cars like this one with side skirts, and the bumpers look bone-stock to me - or is there something different to any of the bumpers?:

The factory option is called "flared rocker panels", cost about $1800 when new. My car has the skirts, and that option is listed on the original invoice. Pretty awesome.

I love the flared rockers without the spoiler look, especially with the Carrera II rims! I wouldn't buy a car from a Craigslist dealer describing it as "A nice car" though!

My 2004 has them they are code X76 "Left and right side flared skirts"
