Default Window washer reservoir leaking?

In re. my 1999 Carrera cabrio, windshield washer fluid is now leaking about as fast as I can add it! I suspect the reservoir has a crack, but I would appreciate hearing from those who have already solved this problem.

Is replacing the reservoir a DIY job? (FYI-I'm pretty handy, but the 996 is a new experience for me.)

Had the same problem. Turned out the hose that connects to the reservoir had come loose. Remove the wheel and fender liner and you will be able to trace it up.

10-4 to what Dell describes. That lousy hose seems to disconnect from the reservoir during each DE I have done. I need to find a spring hose clamp to stick on it so it stops coming off. I'm getting tired of pulling back the liner...This is starting year 3!

Sneaky Pete and Dell,

Thanks for the replies. I think I can now tackle this.

Default Still leaking, but...

FYI-once I had the fender liner removed, I added water to the reservoir and traced the leakage point to the base of one of the two electric pumps installed in the reservoir's "sump".

I've now ordered new seals for both pumps; will install and re-fill reservoir. Full report to follow.
