Great idea - similar to what our fellow owner Ludek did to his Nr. 0421 in the Czech Republic (just not as colorful - lol). Interestingly his car was originally from the USA and exported to Slovakia in 2010.

I still need to make contact with you for a few details about you and the car for the Registry records. Please shoot me an email when you have some time. Thanks much. Ted (40jahre911@gmail.com)

I can't believe how well built this car is! Changed oil yesterday, didn't burn a bit of oil in 10,000 miles. Getting sick of the blizzacks (snow tires) humming!

The cat sensors are burned out, over 200,000 miles ago. Has no effect on operation at all.

What I have replaced since I bought this car. Both radiators @ 200,000 miles, oil/air separator, clutch@192,000, brake pads and rotors once, tires both winter and summer several times. I'm making up for all the years I wanted to have a Porsche and couldn't, kids, jobs, houses. Now 7 Porsches later 3-911s and 4-928s, just over a million miles driven and no accidents.

Great to know about the re-finishing, if anyone is interested I'm going to be selling a full set of Anniversary rims shortly. I just need to get them out of my basement and clean them up. They have some minor nicks so I'd give them a 7/10. I bought them as a spare set from a Porsche dealer in Chicago years ago. PM me if interested

No.759 on BAT.

http://bringatrailer.com/listing/2004-porsche-911-3/

Looks like the engine has been made to 3.8L by Flat 6 Innovations but there is issues with it.

That thread is a classic BAT bash fest.

That engine more than likely has no mechanical issues.
