Welcome, Chris - great to have you here.
As for the one at Skyland, the car is actually owned by the guy who owns the dealership. He bought it in 2014 and very much knows what he has. It is priced aggressively. Perhaps if it is in reasonable condition someone will get a great car at a bargain price. Note that the interior looks black but it is actually natural grey leather. Very hard to differentiate.
There is a nice 40th for sale near me. $29K and 50K miles. You can view it here;

The salesperson mentioned that the owner loves Porsches and it is normal for them to buy a car, drive it a while, then put it on the lot. Man, that interior sure looks black! Seems like a very nice car and I wish someone here would buy it quickly so I am not further tempted. And maybe that someone would ask me to go drive it for them!

I am the 4th owner of my 996tt so I agree it didn't bother me, but certainly there is a little more value in a one or two owner car. That said, yes the damage is what is the most concerning, especially since it was front and rear. Silver is a tough color to get to match.

Another new guy...welcome~ Glad I am not alone!
Alex, we are practically neighbors.
I would be more concerned about the damage as well.

Ha! That's hilarious~
My car really got around the block before I got there! There was someone working at the facility that day while I was there for pickup and apparently was ready to buy...he was looking for something newer or different that whatever he presently has. Thanks for the picture!

I picked up the car that was for sale by Skyland Auto here in NC last week. Car is in excellent shape, with no signs of accident damage, although they were very forthright about the car being in a small rear ender .
The RMS leaked, so I went ahead and had a local shop install a new one, as well as an LN IMS bearing, and OEM clutch and flywheel.
Very pleased with my purchase, and look forward to years of enjoyment.

Hello! #883 checking in from the Tampa Florida area. Bought her on E-bay motors. Put about 7800.00 dollars worth of repairs into her (yes clutch and IMS, motor mounts, new Michelins, window regulators, replaced both visor vanity mirrors, hood struts, oil change, magnetic drain plug, four wheel alignment, two tiny dash dials over the tach) She's scheduled to have her clear bra replaced next week. She runs extremely strong and tight. Life long admirer and first time owner.
Brought her to work to **** off my Boss

Congrats on your purchase and now I can quit thinking about that car. I thought it was super clean and I liked that it hadn't been messed with mechanically. I assume they came down a little more on the price? They had already reduced it once. Maybe I will see it again at a local PCA event?

Checking in with my new acquisition, #478, purchased from Sunset Porsche in Portland. One owner, 45,809 miles, and all four of the original 40AE luggage pieces in their original bags! It's awesome, really happy with the car.
At the dealer.
Picking up my wife at PDX.
