They did a nice job with all the pictures but no reference to 40th Anniversary Edition and its special features.

Cosmetically looks to be a nice car.
Anyone know the cars history as priced on the low end.

Ask Bulldozer - it was his car.

Hopefully he'll chime in and provide some details as I'm sure there are others that might be interested as well.

Nr. 0298 has a new home - the owner contacted me yesterday about it.

Hey, Bulldozer27, just curious. When you bought the car the 911 numbers on the engine cover badge were the chrome aftermarket kind, but the 40 jahre script was the stock part of the badge. Did Porsche of San Diego ever say why that was?

Spotted someone driving their 40th heading West on RT2 in Mass yesterday, just east of Charlemont.

Hey, Noah - it might have been Nr. 0028, who is a new owner of that car. Also, there's one for sale in Needham, MA that I'm trying to get the limited edition number on. Are you anywhere near there?

I honestly thought they came with a chrome 911 emblem as it was a 1-owner car when I bought it. Based on your post, I'm guessing they came with a matte silver 911 emblem instead?

That 911 looks like it's off of the Millennium Edition. 40th had the same emblem but in the finish the same as that piece right below that says 40 Jahre on it.

Could be the one, no front plate and on stock wheels. About 2 hours west of Needham, but one of the best driving roads in the state so possibly out for a nice drive before the snow. I waved instinctively but was in my Saab so most likely went unnoticed.

Still have my 40th AE on the market. Lot's of interest but no $$ in hand yet.

The "911" numbers and the horizontal script came as a single package (Porsche part number 996 559 237 11). Here's a pic of the stock one and the installation schematic for anyone who needs to replace theirs. Tricky process.

Those chrome 911 numbers can be bought aftermarket - didn't necessarily come from a Millenium Edition model.
