I've started researching purchasing a 996 40th and wondered what the Dynamically Sealed Panels are ?

Appreciate an explanation!

i have no idea what "dynamically sealed panels" are.
i think you might have got that from this website:
http://www.etusivu.info/Porsche-911-...nniversary.htm
whose info was perpetuated in many others like wikipedia.
there are a few errors in the website.
that may be another error.
good luck with the search!

Default No 728

Just pic'd up #728 with 15.5K on the clock. New engine with updated bearing at 11910K due to ims bearing failure beginning of 2010

Updated the first two posts. Thanks for sharing.
You're relatively recent IMS failure on another low mileage 40th is really interesting.
Was the original owner covered by Porsche?

It makes me feel a little better that I spent money on a warranty on my pseudo-low mileage 40th even though I haven't had a single problem.

It was out of warranty, but porsche covered most of the replacement of the engine via good will. The previous owner had to pay a couple $k, mostly labor I think.

Just joined the ranks of the 40th crowd. This is the pic sitting in the dealer's staging area. It's number 163.

Hope we enjoy a long loving relationship!

Congrats! Looks like it has the clear turn signals. Any other mods?
Also updated the registry for you and a bunch of other recent 40th owners.
