Congrats! The wait while the car is in transit can be painful - mine took nearly a week to get to me from Florida. Enjoy it when it arrives.

I miss my 40th AE so much. I had a MRSA infection in my foot, and ended up resigning from my job. I had to sell it to concentrate on my regular bills.

Who ever got my car was lucky - LN bearing done by Flat6, 12,000 miles on it when I got it, and about 22,000 miles when I sold it.

My daily driver is now a 2012 Hyundai Veloster. Not a bad car, in fact quite nice with the tech and appearance package, but I will own a 911 again when I am back to work again.

Hello everyone!

New member and the new owner of a 40th Anniversary. Purchased #649 with 58k miles, and plan to drive it on a regular basis. I'll get some pics uploaded as soon a get it back from getting the 60k mile service.

Lurking.
Rennlist no longer allows editing of old posts.

Hopefully spring is only a few more weeks away.
New tires and wheels are on order too.

Our first DE is only about 2 weeks away...

Ice racing was fun, but I prefer a little more speed.

Default Car cover help!

Hi, guys - need some help with a car cover. Even though I keep her in the garage, we're having some construction work done at the house and the contractor is going to be doing work and staging material in the garage, so I need to cover her even when she's in the garage and may need to leave her outside for a short while. I saw one on Suncoast (Carrera 996 Silverguard Plus Car Cover - click here to see it) but would appreciate any recommendations. I presume I'd pick the regular Carrera version because I'm guessing that the version for Turbo/Aerokit is for a car with a wing or some other rear spoiler. My worry is that the regular Carrera version isn't fitted for our turbo front end. I'd appreciate any quick advice you can provide because the contractors will be starting their work tomorrow and I need to get one ordered ASAP! Thanks much.

I know this is probably going to get me all kinds of vitriol, but has anyone ever bought a separate trunk lid with a GT3 style spoiler? Curious how the package would look. Considering a 40th AE because of the combination of the powerkit, lsd, great looks, and back seat (will need for family reasons) but I am one of those guys who just has to have the spoiler. Would love to see pics if anyone has any

Default spoiler pics

I've seen different spoilers on GT3s, but I've posted a pic of a GT3 spoiler that I think would be the stock spoiler that it would normally come with. Assuming that's the spoiler you intend, I've also posted a pic of a 40AE with a spoiler like that (it used to be owned by Electric Lizard - not sure who has it now). I've seen pics of 40AEs with other spoilers - I posted a few of them for you, too. Other than replacing the pumpkins I've kept mine stock and prefer that look, but to each his own. Good luck with your purchase. The 40AE is a magnificent car in all respects. Post some pics (and let us know what number of 1963 it is) if/when you get it.
