Default 2000 - Millenium - What would you pay?

Still searching for my dream 911. This Millenium edition has been on Autotrader for a long time. It looks nice. I would be interested in what you think is a fair price to expect to pay for it. 2000, of course, with 45,000 miles on it. Here's a description from the ad and then a photo. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks, in advance. -John

This vehicles is finished in the demanded high gloss VIOLETTCHROMAFLAIR METALLIC which is unique to the MILLENNIUM Edition vehicles. This is a true color of brilliance. This vehicle has never been in or near any kind of accident whatsoever. 2000 PORSCHE 911 MILLENNIUM EDITION # 526 6 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION GARAGE KEPT VEHICLE ABSOLUTE CREAMPUFF PORSCHE STABILITY MANAGEMENT PORSCHE COMMUNICATION MANAGEMENT GPS NAVIGATION LITRONIC HIGHLIGHTS HEADLAMP WASHERS ALACANTARA HEADLINER POWER SLIDING SUNROOF REAR WINDOW WIPER FULL LEATHER POWER SEATS HEATED SEATS FRONT AND SIDE IMPACT SRS 19 inch HRE 5905 WHEELS DIGITAL SOUND PACKAGE 6 DISC CD CHANGER (after market stereo system, original deck) EXCELLENT CONDITION #526 means in 2000 Porsche only made 911 of this model all wheel drive 996. If you check out the milenium package you will understand. This car has been treated better then my girl friend.VIOLETTCHROMAFLAIR METALLIC is a unique paint job only on these 911 models in existance world wide. In the photos I disclose the two road rash marks on the car. That is my pinky finger for refrence. The car is in amazing condition.

c4 are usually 3k-5K more of the c2 and the y2k edition are about 3k more of asking c4 in similar condition. Y2k editions are good deals if you like a high optioned car.

I'd suggest checking it out in person. I actually drove in one a couple weeks ago and just didn't get it. It seems that PAG decided to throw a whole bunch of crap that didn't get sold in the option bin and call it a limited edition. You're right it's limited. Only a limited number of people will want to buy it.

From the funky paint color, to the chrome wheels (seriously?), to the explosion of wood inside, it's just wrong.

Sorry, but there is just so much more out there in the 996 line that blow it away for that price. IMHO, the car brings zero premium and if anything might actually fetch less since it is a VERY LIMTED market of buyers you are trying to sell to.

You know me

By the way, I think the 40th anniversary "limited edition" they got right.

Actually, they did get one thing right on the Millenium..........the rear 911 nameplate

Too funny. At first the wood dash was a total turn off and made it a non option for me. However, I actually like the funky color. I totally appreciate your input. Great thoughts. Thanks.

Not sure where you got the $43k from. They are asking $28k.

Did you click the link I posted? They want 42,995.

Not sure about the one you are looking at since you didn't post a link.

Whatever you decide and however you feel about it, the one thing I'd say is that this will not be an 'important' Porsche and so therefore of no interest to collectors. It was a pure marketing exercise, so you shouldn't have to pay much of a premium for it. The 40th will probably be interesting to someone someday, but the Millennium in no way ties to the Porsche story. Just a bit of opportunism on Porsche's part. If you love it, buy it and enjoy it.

This opinion is, of course, worth every penny you paid for it.

Crazy. I didn't see the link. Here's a link to the one I saw on Autotrader:
