Is the airbag functional? I'm very curious. I looked into updating the wheel in my 996tt to one from a 997 gt3 but (in addition to the splines being different) the later cars have two stage airbag switches whereas the 996 only has a single stage. This makes the systems incompatible even if you do just connect the wires together.
And what about the shift paddles...are they functional? If so, did you have to pull the clock spring over from the later car?

I think it's this: https://wisemotorsports.eu/product/p...wheel-upgrade/
The product description does not fill me with confidence, would love to see installation pictures and what parts are actually covered under the posted price. And be able to configure a wheel freely from available options, can't seem to find a combo of an alcantara wheel without paddles.

Have just fitted a bespoke alcantara paddle wheel for my C4S . Very happy with quality of wheel and now fitted . They advised connecting to stage two of air bag using an adaptor supplied .The horn id going off when I replace battery so must get a pic of the wiring to them to fault find. Havnt driven it yet but initial impressions are 10/10 .They did blue sticking and 12o clock marker plus added some extra alcantara in package so I could cover the shift lever (looking for a rough tip lever to modify)
will review fully when horn sorted and car driven…..

These are gorgeous steering wheels and well worth the price considering they use the OEM wheels and air bags for a base...
They must be using core/used OEM wheels and airbags though as the price of the custom wheel is less than half of what just new OEM wheels and airbags cost...( without any customization).....
