Default What to scavenge from a wrecked 996mk2

Maybe a bit strange question but there is a wrecked 2003 c2 offered for parts in my area, I’m pretty sure I would get a good deal if I want something out from it. What would be some essential parts to pick besides engine and transmission? Thanks fellas.

I don't know that these are essentials - these are the things I'd pick off a 996 if I had an hour before the wrecker showed up...

Wheels, if they're OK; center caps if THEY are at least salvagable
Seats, if they're upgraded and no SRS damage
Three-spoke wheel, if so equipped and if the airbag didn't pop
Aero kit, if there is one and it is intact
Headlights (if intact)
Taillights (if intact)
Gauge cluster
HVAC module
Radio (and manual for the code)
Spare tire kit with tool kit
Factory airbox (SOMEONE will want it)

If I had another hour:
Factory mufflers (cores for a Fister swap)
Instrument (gauge) cluster
Center console
Shifter **** and boot (if in good condition)
Leather trim (door pockets, etc.) - if in good condition
Window regulators (if things are trashed enough that removing them isn't going to cause butthurt)
The front stubs/ABS encoders (for C4 FWD deletes)

The thing about 911's of most every model (996.2 no exception) is that many of them have been produced. That means that parts will continue to be available as cars get parted out. I used to retain spare parts for a rainy day, but at some point you run out of room (not to mention the expenditure of money on stuff you will never use). Now, I just buy parts as I need them. I would just buy what you need now as it is hard to know what you're going to need down the road. Later, when another need arises you get back out on the Internet and find the part then.

People pay hundreds of bucks for aftermarket units - I've been one of 'em. No scorn was implied by the caps - I've been that someone before.

I wonder what inferences italicized italics will elicit?

All of it. Every single piece will sell eventually. May be a bit harder for you with your location, but if you have a place to store the parts, you will be able to sell everything.
