FS: MY00 996 C2 with New Engine and Warranty
I'm looking to get into a GT3 but the wife says I need to get rid of my car first. This is a daily driver with track duties. It has a bunch of extras, a new engine, and 2 warranties (engine and aftermarket) - both good for 9 more months. The car is not pristine, but the price reflects its flaws.
Here is the most pertinent info:
Track Mods:
Other
Stock parts:
A few other minor mods:
New Euro bumper with bumperette delete as car was dinged in the right rear last year. Only damage was to the rear bumper cover and tial light. No contact with impact guard behind bumper.
I have some pics posted when the car was in top notch condition [LINK].
(Before Pics)[LINK]
[The car would need a serious detail and the Ruf front bumper needs a respray to look that pristine again. Exterior has a few rock chips as well. ]
Summary:
MK1 996 with updated engine still under 2 warranties. This is a GREAT daily driver that is very capable at the track. When washed and polished up, it is still a looker. However, it is not in concours condition, but mechanically it is sound (since most of the major components are new) AND still has a warranty.
I have title in hand and need to move this quickly to facilitate my other deal, so the prices are:
PPI welcome (Dallas has 2 dealers, Ruf and a number of indy shops nearby)
Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions or requests for photos. td873@yahoo.com
Thanks for looking.

I have title in hand and need to move this quickly to facilitate my other deal, so the prices are:
- $26.5K as currently setup and all extras are yours. [Wheels, stock parts, etc.]
- $24.5K with suspension, but without track goodies (minus the GMG roll bar, Cobra seats, extra wheels, harnesses, camera mount, fabspeed)
- $23.5K if you also remove upgraded suspension parts (i.e., PSS9 and sway bars) - this would put you pretty close to factory, but with the Ruf Aerokit, new engine, 3rd radiator, both warranties, upgraded stereo and the few other mods listed above.
Stock front bumper is yours either way, and it's already sprayed to match.

Tom,
Do you have GT3 control arms and toe links on the car?

I do have the front GT3 control arms. They are reverse mounted for extra camber. I don't remember the actual alignment numbers now, but should be around -2.5 front and -2.0 rear (or something like that). I didn't get around to putting on the toe links though.
I also should have mentioned that the car has the X51 oil pan as well.

Tom, the fact that it's not in concours condition is hardly a flaw! And silver is an easy color to renew with the right materials and technique.
I'm just guessing that the amount of money you have put into the car exceeds your asking price, so what you really want to say here is that the price reflects the cost of all of your upgrades, and that you're throwing the car in for free!
Good luck, and hurry up and get that GT3! I've been waiting for you

Heh, since we just had our first baby in May, my wife isn't going to let me into a Sweet Ride 997_3 like that! I suppose I could wait a year and do it then, but I got a hall pass to get a 996_3 now, so I'm trying to strike while the iron is hot. I'm pretty sure I'd be happy with a 6_3, and the prices have started to crater on them.
