Default 01 m96 in 99 996?

Hi, I blew up my 99 during a track day recently I have a 2001 parts car with a good 3.4, Looks like I would only need to swap my TB to the cable one and a few minor tweaks to vacuum lines. Is everything else plug and play since its the same block?
Thanks

Yup same, just swap over some parts and use the 99 harness.

Change out the 2001's single row IMS bearing before you do the swap.

Sorry to hear. Glad you have a parts car. Out of curiosity, what happened/caused the engine failure?

Track day engine failure, supercharger probably sped up that process. Developed a loud snapping noise from bottom end, bearing material in the oil

Oh man...

How long of an engine life did you get with the supercharger? Would you do it again?

I bought the car with the supercharger it was installed in 2006. Since I have owned the car its been through 35 track days. Between my self and previous owner I would estimate over 100 track days. I have retired this one from track duty since I have purchased a dedicated race car.

Wow, that’s a good amount of track days with the supercharger. Kind of makes one think a supercharger on a street car wouldn’t cause too many issues with engine durability.
