Porsche OEM 5mm wheel spacers
From my previous post, you probably know that I just got the car back tonight. Had the 5mm wheel spacers added front and back.
Dell, as you had mentioned, it is the perfect size. The car looks just perfect. There is the perfect of fill underneath the fender flare above the tire without looking like the wheel is too far extended.
When the 5mm wheel spacers are installed, is an alignment, rebalance, change of camber, or anything else required at that time? I checked PCA and on the forum but couldn't find a reference to this that didn't also include suspension changes (which I didn't do).
Also, out of curiousity, did anyone who made these changes notice anything in terms of handling? I kepts the stock 18" wheels (225 front, 265 rear). While I was driving it, I couldn't tell if turn-in around corners was a little quicker than I was accustomed to or if it was my imagination. Since it has been a couple weeks since I last drove it stock, my frame of reference is gone.
Yes, I know there is some good stuff in this thread here, but I am looking for more of a detailed comparison.
Thanks,
Edward
