Convertible top stowing incorrectly - pic - help?
Today my ragtop began stowing with a 1" inch gap where it is supposed to be flush up against the deck (see pic). Anybody seen this before? WTF??

I think the gap is normal. If you look under the deck lid, there are a few foam cushion bumpers that prevent rubbing and rattle with the top. This tells me that the gap is normal. If the decklid were to rub the top, the fabric wouldn't last.

got the same gap...checked it out, by looking inside the covered roof and everything seems to be normal.....I can walk around my car and notice something different everytime...not always good!

Just ran down and checked mine out...........same gap. I never noticed it since the area between the top and the pop-bar deck is black also.
Totally normal. Think about it. You would NOT want it to be perfectly flush b/c if you did there would be advanced wear on that seal and the chance of damage to it.

Vette67, first off, the gap is pretty common.
Second, a little observation: the cap covers for the hardtop posts are sitting on top of the hardtop rests. Those misformed plastic washer-like things underneath the circular covers can be stored in your glove box when the hardtop is not in use. IT's a sleeker look. Check out Kevin H in Atl's picture to see what I mean.
